PRICING

Price is the total of 3 components: Quilting Service, Thread, and Batting purchase (optional).  Additional charges will be applied if additional work is needed.  The quilt should be received in a condition that is 100% ready for quilting.

Quilting Service

There is a minimum charge of $55.00 for each quilt.

Edge to edge quilting service price starts at $0.03 x Length x Width of the quilt in inches.

Dense edge to edge designs range from $0.035 to $0.055 x Length x Width, depending on density of the quilting design.

Custom quilting prices start at $0.03 per square inch and go up. This may include edge to edge plus a separate border design; the use of free motion or rulers for part of the design; stitch-in-the ditch to outline and highlight piecing areas; echo quilting; block, border and sashing specific designs, and any combination of these applications.

*Note prices subject to change without notice at anytime.

Thread

Thread and new needle charge is a flat fee of $10.00

Batting

You may supply your own batting, or purchase mine.  I keep Quilters Dream Cotton batting in stock, see batting page for details.  Extra batting is returned to you.  Please be sure to add an extra 6" of batting on all sides of the quilt top. Price is dependent on the size needed. You may provide your own batting, but I recommend that you choose a good quality batting. Inexpensive battings found in discount stores and big chain fabric stores are thin and uneven. They may cause tension problems during the quilting process. I reserve the right to refuse poor quality batting. I do not accept Mountain Mist brand, Fairfield brand, or the generic brand from JoAnns.

Here’s an example of edge to edge at $0.03 price point

Quilting Service

  • Queen sized quilt top measurement 80 (length) x 60 (width)

  • 80 x 60 = 4800 (total square inches)

  • 4800 x .03 (price) = $144.00

  • Edge to edge quilting service charge is $144.00 + $10.00 thread = $155.00, batting charge is variable.
